Key messages for the promotion of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists
(2011-2012)
1. The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapies (IACAT) is the professional organization for registered Creative Arts Therapists in Ireland. It represents the interests of the professions and is working to establish statutory recognition of Creative Arts Therapists within Ireland.
2. The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists has a code of ethics for its members to ensure safe practice for both clients and members. Members commit to adhering to this Code of Ethics. The Association’s principles of professional practice ensure that the current level of Creative Arts Therapists training is en par with International and European standards.
3. Creative Arts Therapists are internationally established and respected professionals. There is an increasing body of evidence and research detailing the value and efficacy of Creative Arts Therapies and the benefits that they bring to clients.
