Dramatherapy - specialising in DvT

Maggie Dagge - Creative psychotherapy for adults and children

I am a registered dramatherapist and elected member of the executive council of The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT), Co-ordinator of DvT Ireland and a member of CREATE the national development agency for collaborative arts in social and community contexts.

DvT dramatherapy allows the client to access pre-verbal stressors using the body and through the co-created space with the therapist de-code there meaning towards a verbal recognition and potential for self actualization. This type of fostered collaborative play names the clients anxieties or trauma and allows direct cognitive reflection and reframing.

In DvT the therapist is an active agent within the play and will become the play object for the client, taking on whatever roles or identities as required. For more information on Maggie and DvT please click
